A Door For Every Unit
A Jali made to measure door is perfect for finishing off kitchen units or for making an attractive cupboard door over an awkward alcove. Because the Jali Designer allows you to produce custom-made doors, you can make your design fit anywhere in the house.
Our doors are typically made from 18mm MDF, and you can choose whether to include 6mm panels or fretwork grilles. You can configure recesses in the back for concealed cup hinges, just like those found in kitchen cabinets.
Whether you are after a bespoke wardrobe door, or a made to measure cupboard door, Jali has got you covered.
Size Options
How much clearance do I need?
We recommend leaving a 2mm gap on each side of the door. When measuring up for your door, simply subtract 4mm from the height and the width.
What sizes can I adjust?
You can adjust the height and width of the door, as well as the frame width (the border around the outside) and the individual panel heights, if multiple panels have been included.
Style Options
Which handles can I choose from?
You can choose from our range of handles, including Knobs, Bars and other varieties. We also offer several Edge Pull options which are cut or rebated into the door. You can adjust the position of handles to suit your purpose. You can even choose Holes Only (and set the position of 1 or 2 drill holes) if you wish to source your own handles. And if you aren't ready to decide, you can simply choose None, i.e. no handle or hole.
What door styles are available?
A Jali door can be Solid, Shaker or Fretwork. You can adjust the number of shaker and fretwork door panels. Shaker doors offer the option of a decorative cut out, while fretwork doors let you choose from our range of famous fretwork. You can even combine fretwork with plain shaker doors.
Hinge Options
The Jali designer hingeing menu lets you place suitable 14mm deep recesses for concealed cup hinges. If your measurments suit, you can choose to include our soft-close overlay hinges along with your order. These require a 35mm diameter recess situated about 3mm in from the door side. They come paired with hinge plates, which should be attached to the inside of the box/carcass you are covering. However, you may wish to source or reuse your own hinges. Special cases (like corner cabinets) may require a different fixing.
