Design Your Own Decorative Shutters
Creating a stylish and sumptuous look to any bedroom or living room, these shutters offer decorative privacy and a good alternative to blinds for minimising direct sunlight.
The shutters can be designed to fit any window space and can be made to fill either a whole or a half window - particularly popular for those with Victorian-style sash windows.
They can be commissioned to open in the middle or to one side of the window to suit your design preference. These are real designer chic; a must for functional contemporary furniture and style. They fold back in a "concertina" design and are available in a number of beautiful fretwork patterns, or just plain.
Style & Size Options
What size options are available?
You can design your fretwork panels from any size to 3m x 1.2m, with an internal border from 1cm to 10cm. The panel depth is fixed at 6mm.
What style options are available?
The range of fretwork styles includes simple trellis, traditional and contemporary motifs as well as intricate, geometric and ornate patterns.
Fitting Options
The pre-drilled fixing strips on the outside of each shutter are used to fix them in place. You can fix them across a window, or inside a window recess.
Fitting across a window
The inside edges of the fixing strips align with the edge of the window recess. This leaves the fretwork leaves to cover the maximum width of the window.
The shutter width measurement should include the window strips. Each strip is 30mm across, so for example, if your window is 1000mm wide and your shutters attach on both sides, set the overall width to 1060mm.
Fitting into a window recess
The fixing strips fit sideways within the window recess.
The shutter width measurement should match your window recess width. For example, if your window recess is 36 inches wide, set the shutter width to 36 inches too.
