Wall Panelling is a favourite trend among DIYers, and we're here to make it even easier. With our custom wall panelling designer, you can enter an overall width and height, then simply add and remove rows and columns until you've designed the perfect panelling for you. Fill your entire wall, or create a more classic look by combining skirting and a mantelpiece top.
Jali wall panelling comes as a kit of perfectly sized MDF parts, ready for you to fix to your wall. Look out for a blog article on the best way to approach this very soon.
Finish Options
Should I get my panelling primed or in plain MDF?
Typically customers will fix MDF panelling in place with glue, caulk or by screwing it place, and then paint both the panelling and the wall behind. We therefore recommend purchasing your wall panelling kit in White Primer. We edgeband the sides before priming, and the result offers the easiest surface to paint once the panelling is in place. You may prefer Plain MDF for affordability, but you must be prepared to sand the edges down yourself for the perfect finish.
There may be an occasion where it makes sense to purchase the panelling kit already top coated. We've left these options available in the designer, not least since it's more comfortable to visualise in its final colour.
Size Options
Can I create panelling to fit my walls?
Yes! You can start by customising the overall width and height to suit your wall. Then you can choose the frame width, with custom control over the base and top component heights. Finally, you can add (or remove) rows and columns to create the perfect number of panels for your design.
How do I increase the skirting height?
If you have added skirting in the style menu but can't change the height, that's because it's limited by the base part height. Adjust this first in the Frame menu.
Style Options
What styling features can I adjust?
You can choose to embellish your wall panelling with a 50mm deep mantelpiece or top, as well as a skirting feature along the base. Combining these with a shorter panelling offers an easy classic aesthetic.
How can I make my panelling more interesting?
We'd like to see you incorporate our 6mm fretwork within the panel spaces, for a truly distintive look!
