Collaboration

In return for discounted products and services we ask that all parties agree to the following terms:

Assembly & Installation

The product will arrive as normal, and Jali won’t be responsible for assembly and installation unless otherwise agreed. You must acknowledge the safety points in the Assembly Instructions and get in touch for further guidance.

We expect our products to be finished to a professional standard. You must use a professional fitter at your own cost if you’re not willing or able to safely undertake this work yourself.

You must inform Jali of any delivery damage / incorrect or missing parts so that we can replace the appropriate parts immediately. This is a rare occurrence that clearly we don’t want featured!

Links

We ask that you make it easy for viewers/readers to engage further with the Jali brand and product range. At a minimum, we ask that our website www.jali.co.uk be included clearly within or alongside content. For online/social media, this should be included as a link. Further links to our product pages and social profiles are also appreciated.

Social Media Tags

We understand the need to disclose commercial arrangements, but we feel that tagging a post with #Ad or #Paid is a bit misleading, and undermines the spirit of the collaboration. If necessary, we would prefer #Collab, #Gift or #PR. We also ask that any such tag is placed at end of the caption.

Product Features

While your exposition of Jali products must be formed of your own unique experience, and in your own editorial style, we ask that you endeavour to feature the salient product benefits. For example, the ease of designing online, soft close hinges, adjustable feet for easy levelling, easy assembly, finish quality, and so on. Get in touch for more ideas.

Photography

At a minimum, you will deliver full size professional-standard images of the finished product in-situ with any obvious variations (styling, doors open, doors closed etc). Additionally, you might consider providing extra ‘behind the scenes’ photographs during the installation process, as well as a ‘before and after’.

Photography will be provided to Jali as soon as it’s available, for us to use for any purpose thereafter. We appreciate that there may be special exclusivity or embargo conditions, for example, in the case of a magazine feature or proposal.

Photography will be at your own cost.

Speculative Content

If you will be pitching a story to a journal, having received discounted goods, we ask that you promise in good faith to try your best to secure the best possible feature/s. We reserve the right to withhold the deposit if no adequate content comes about within a reasonable timeframe.

Payment

To offset the upfront risk, we will charge the discounted payment plus a 50% (of the remainder) deposit before production can begin. The deposit will be refunded after the agreed media content has been published and adequate images received, subject to this agreement. For example, for a 50% discount, we would effectively charge 75% and refund the 25% later. For a 100% discount, we would charge 50% which would be completely refunded later.

Any delivery fee will be separate to this arrangement, as we simply pass on this cost.
