We want our products and service to exceed your expectations. To help ensure this please read the following information. Jali's products are DIY kits of parts that allow you to quickly produce a very professional job with limited tools and skills. We aim to fill the gap between engaging a joinery company and being a skilled carpenter. They are not finished furniture items and you do require a level of practical common sense to assemble, fit and paint them.
We have thousands of satisfied customers and we want you to be one of them. If you are unsure about Jali products we make the following offer: If you are unhappy with your order call us and explain the problem and if we cannot resolve the situation, return the unit to us within 30 days from delivery date and we will refund the cost of the item (up to a maximum of £250 inc VAT). However, returns which have not been agreed or are beyond this time period will not be accepted.
The Jali Designer aims to provide an accurate representation of the finished product, but some details are impossible to recreate accurately in the 3D computer model. As always, colours and finishes may also vary, especially taking into account different rooms and lighting conditions.
Please take great care when measuring up for your units. Familiarise yourself with the diagrams and the terms we use. Overall sizes are the full outside dimensions. Please take thicknesses into account when working out internal clearances. Once orders go into production, mistakes can only be rectified by remaking parts and throwing the incorrect pieces away. If you have any doubts please call our technical sales team who will be happy to help. Radiator cover clearances should only be reduced with careful consideration. Avoid reducing the height clearance as this will impair performance. You may be able to avoid certain problems with the 18mm top board option.
We do not offer a quantity discount as all made-to-measure products are made as a one-off.
Orders placed on the website are collected and logged onto our production system automatically. When a web order is logged into the system (and when we despatch it) you will be sent confirmation by email. You can see the progress of the entire order in Order History in your account. If your order is not showing as logged-in then you have not sent the order successfully.
Once an order and payment is received it could immediately proceed into production where parts will begin to be manufactured. You can monitor the progress of your order and its manufacture in Order History. If our system detects that there may be a problem with your order we will contact you to resolve it. The status may not always show an up-to-the-minute status.
Once we receive your order it is passed to our automated manufacturing system and some parts could be made within an hour of your order, hence the need for you to check it carefully. If we make a mistake we will replace items free of charge. However, if you find you have made a mistake we will advise you on how to solve it and will also make replacement parts as fast as possible but we may, at our discretion, ask you to pay a cost depending on what is involved.
Our preferred terms of business are online credit card payment at time of order. Online card authorisation is performed automatically when you confirm your order. Normally you will be advised immediately if there is a problem. If you wish you can select Omit at the payment method stage and send a cheque or call us with your credit card details. However, this will delay the progress of your order. When paying this way please wait for our order confirmation email before calling so you can quote the order reference number. Also please note your order will not be progressed until payment is made. Please make cheques payable to Jali Ltd. We accept the following cards: Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Solo and Switch.
We do not have a minimum order value. However, we apply a £7.50 delivery charge to orders below £50 in value.
Whenever a design is created or changed the price is calculated using a sophisticated system which takes into account the exact work, time and materials required to make your particular item. Therefore if you alter the size by even a small amount the price may change. Sometimes it may appear to "jump" but this is usually because more fixings or materials have been introduced (for example, another set of hinges on doors in a cupboard). Prices quoted within the Jali Designer are valid for 90 days. If items are ordered after this period they will be automatically re-calculated at the time of order. From time to time, as we update our raw material costs, our selling prices will change. Our policy is to do this frequently so we never have large price changes. All prices on this website supersede all previous publications.
Once we have received and accepted your order it cannot normally be cancelled as we may start to manufacture your parts immediately. Unfortunately, parts made which are no longer required cannot be economically reused and can only be destroyed. However at our discretion, depending on how far advanced your order is, we may accept cancellation and refund part or all of the order value.

We operate three levels of delivery service:
All made-to-measure units are designed and manufactured to your exact measurements once you have placed your order. This normally takes about two weeks from receipt of your order with payment; however, this depends on the items ordered, their sizes and paint finishes, and the two weeks may become longer during busy periods. All orders are sent as soon as they are completed on a next-working-day delivery service. You will be notified by text or email (usually at about 4pm) when your order leaves our factory the working day before delivery to you. Delivery could be at any time from 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, and you must be able to accept your delivery on this basis. If your house is hard to find or you want your order delivered to a neighbour you can give a short message and a contact telephone number to help the van driver. All orders over £50 (inc VAT) are delivered free-of-charge within delivery zone 1 & 1a - this includes England, Wales and 'industrial' Scotland. Outside this region there are additional charges which depend on the delivery destination and the weight of your order. These are calculated automatically online and are shown at checkout stage.For a full description of delivery zones please see Delivery Zones.
This service is the same as the Standard but instead of despatching your order as soon as it is complete, we hold it in our stores and telephone you to arrange despatch. If we are unable to contact you it will delay the order. We can normally hold parcels for up to five working days and reserve the right to charge on a per-day basis after that period.
All Scheduled service deliveries are made before midday on the exact day you choose at the time of your order. This is done using the calendar which you will find when selecting Scheduled/Express Delivery service from the order form. There is a price supplement for this service, based on the order destination and weight, which is calculated online automatically and is displayed on the order form. If the date you select is less than two weeks away we can express manufacture your order but the cost increases with the speed of manufacture. This is also shown in the order form.
Check that the parcels are addressed to you and that all your parcels have been delivered - if not ask the driver to check the van. Your parcels may be large, heavy and/or cumbersome (usually depending on the size of your designs), and you may be asked to help moving the parcels. The delivery service is to take the parcels to the door of the building (or as close as is reasonably possible) but not necessarily to, or inside, the door of your residence. If access to the door is restricted (for example if you live in a block of flats or within a traffic-restricted zone) it is your responsibility to tell us this when you place the order, as it may affect the delivery.
We are happy to supply to overseas customers. Use the Omit option at the payment stage to send us the details of your goods and we will contact you by email as soon as possible. Depending on weight and destination, extra charges may apply over and above the amounts shown by our online system. In most cases we prefer you to arrange your own collection from our factory, or we can deliver to any UK address for you to collect or forward from there. Alternatively, it is possible for us to arrange a courier to your (non-UK) address on your behalf, but please note that in this case we cannot offer any returns or damage claims. These issues must be covered by the purchaser.
When receiving a delivery please check it for obvious damage. If you receive a damaged parcel, sign for it with "damaged but contents unchecked" and let us know which parts are damaged. We will remake and send them free-of-charge as quickly as possible.
If the van driver is unable to deliver because you were not in they will leave you a card saying so. If they do this please call the number on the card as soon as possible (not us) to rearrange delivery. They may return the same day if the van is still in your area.
We will always do our very best to get deliveries to you without inconvenience, and our performance record is very good. However, due to the nature of the service we offer and the delivery companies, we cannot guarantee the delivery time or day, so please do not arrange to have fitters, builders and so on waiting for a delivery. However, we will guarantee our despatch deadline as follows: if we fail to despatch (as opposed to deliver) a Scheduled/Express order on the required day we will refund the difference from what was achieved. Therefore, if you use our services, you must accept these circumstances. We are unable to accept liability for any consequential losses.
We are registered in accordance with the Data Protection Act (1998) to hold personal data required in the course of our business.
We do not sell or give away details provided by our customers. If you place an order with us we encrypt your information (name, address and payment details) in a form that no other people, websites or internet users can access. The paragraphs below explain this in more detail.
If you want to keep a design for later, you'll just need to enter your email address and a password. This is so that you can use the same email and password if you want to look at your design later.
If you want to place an order, we'll need to know your full name, address and telephone number, so that we can send the order to you.
Your credit card information is held only while you get your order ready to send. When you confirm your order, the details are forwarded to the credit card company in a securely encrypted format which ensures that no other party can read it.
At the end of the ordering process (whether you have sent the order or not), credit card details are no longer held. We never store them permanently.
